Wav-2-Midi is an easy-to-use tool to transform your guitar WAV recordings into MIDI audio files. Thus, you will not need to be able to play a keyboard to create standard MIDI files, which you can then use to recreate high-quality guitar tracks emulating other instruments, or simply print your music scores (using external software tools). You will just need to play the instrument you are most comfortable with (your guitar), and make a one-channel recording of it in WAV format. With the built-in WAV editor, you can make basic modifications in the original file before conversion, and then create the final MIDI file with just one click. The program also includes a simple MIDI player, thus allowing you to check if the results are what you expected or not.
The program can detect monotonic notes, allowing you to decide on the level of sensitivity of this detection process. To make things simpler, it also incorporates an auto-velocity detection feature, which can also be customized to better fit your preferences.
